Welcome to the Six Rivers Pony Club!
Six Rivers Pony Club is located in Humboldt County, CA. We are a fun-loving club with a diversity of riders and their mounts. Education and team spirit are central themes to our membership.
Practices typically occur every other Saturday from February through November. Alicia Garlick is our primary instructor, and we also work with other trainers in the area.
We encourage and support riders in whatever discipline they choose. We have riders that pursue show jumping, dressage, and gaming, without counting our younger members who are currently unrated.
Our main riding facilities include Lazy L Ranch in Arcata and a private arena in Mckinleyville.
Our club is part of the Sierra Pacific Region, which spans all of Northern California from Marin east along the I80 corridor dipping down to cover the Wilton and Lodi areas and as far east as the Reno and Gardenerville areas of Nevada. Our club does try to attend a number of regional events every year, from team competitions ("rallies") to noncompetitive educational days and camps. Most of these occur in the Sacramento area. Members also have the opportunity of attending our own lesson camps at Full Circle Farm in Gold Beach, Oregon. None of these activities are required, but the kids love them and learn so much!
